Rhett Wilson is the Founder and President of Teapot Mountain Advisory, a philanthropic consulting firm advising cultural institutions, presidential libraries, universities, and civic organizations on major-gift strategy and capital campaigns. The firm counsels leadership and boards on campaigns representing hundreds of millions of dollars in philanthropic goals, with clients including the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation, the U.S. Capitol Historical Society, the Mississippi State University Foundation, and the U.S.-Ukraine Foundation.

From 2016 to 2025, Wilson served as Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer of the White House Historical Association, where he built the Association's first professional fundraising division. Under his leadership, the development team grew from two to more than twenty-five professionals, the donor base expanded from 103 to more than 16,000 annual supporters, and the Association completed an 18-month - $85.5 million campaign to open The People's House: A White House Experience, the museum that opened steps from the White House in 2024.

Wilson serves as Chair of the Innovations in Philanthropy Summit, a national convening of nonprofit chief executives, chief development officers, philanthropists and grantmakers. Earlier in his career, Wilson served as chief development officer for business schools in higher education, including at Johns Hopkins University. He is an Executive Producer of Promise Me, a documentary about Ambassador Nancy G. Brinker and the founding of the modern breast cancer movement, and serves as an advisor to the U.S.-Ukraine Foundation's philanthropy initiatives. He is Co-Founder of the Caravanserai Project based in Palm Springs, California, and serves as a member of the board of directors on the nonpartisan LGBTQ+ Victory Institute.

A graduate of Arizona State University, Wilson previously served as a city councilman in Kearny, Arizona.
